Thames Bookstore takes the form of a warm red-and-cream corner bookshop: floor-to-ceiling shelves crammed with leather-bound volumes fill a bay window, a small red English telephone booth stands just inside the open door, and a side balcony displays framed portraits above a hanging illustrated scroll reading Time settles here. The finished piece has the lived-in, layered feel of a shop that has been collecting books for a very long time.
Why this kit: a bay-windowed shopfront that shows off the packed bookshelves from every angle; a distinctly British character built around the red telephone booth and vintage signage; a side balcony and hanging scroll detail that extend the scene beyond the main shop floor.
Kit includes: pre-cut wooden pieces for the shop shell and balcony, fabric swatches, miniature furniture, and finely detailed accessories including the bookshelves and telephone booth. Built-in LED lights give the finished display a warm, atmospheric glow. Scissors and glue are required to complete the build (not included). Dimensions: 22.2 x 17.7 x 14.3 cm.
Building it means fitting and gluing the pre-cut wooden panels into the shop shell, applying fabric and wallpaper details to the interior, placing the miniature bookshelves, furniture, and telephone booth by hand, and wiring in the included LED lighting to light the shop floor and balcony.
