Hand built stoneware heart. Each is glazed by hand with small brushes to bring out the detail in pattern and texture. A wire is attached to the back for easy hanging. Two small nails are recommended to avoid slipping. Bring indoors when temperatures dip below 35 degrees.
Dimensions: 7 '' x 6 ''
Each ceramic heart is made to order- so each is unique and will vary slightly from the image. Hearts feature a wire for hanging on the wall. Simply use 2 picture hooks to hang straight on your wall... or askew if you'd like your heat collection to "dance" on your wall! Dimensions are approximate.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for our artist to craft you a heart if we do not have one to ship right away. Please email info@kinksandquirks.com if you need a piece right away and we'll do our best to help you.
Laurie Pollpeter Eskenazi has worked with clay for over 25 years. As a little girl, she was fascinated with the items found on and in her Grandmother’s dresser. It was filled with old button boxes, crazy quilts, and hand tatted lace. Laurie is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her pottery is inspired by the traditional needle crafts made by women in the 19th and early 20th century. Using a combination of wheel throwing, coil, and slab techniques she transforms vintage designs into contemporary stoneware. The work is somewhat spontaneous.
