*Please note each butterfly piece may differ from one to another and it might differ from the one pictured. The 'Butterfly Wing' piece uses a glitter acrylic which can range in different tones.
Why do butterflies matter? These beautiful creatures of colour are a symbol of environment biodiversity, and their fragility has been affected by habitat loss, climate change and pollution.
Also, this butterfly reminds me of a book by Ngunawal Elder, Don Bell, Mununja the Butterfly is a dreaming story of the Ngunawal people that's been passed through the generations for thousands of years. Mununja the Butterfly is about a young Aboriginal girl who was changed into a butterfly so she could avoid marrying the evil Gunga.

Info & Care:
Each piece is made from laser-cut and layered acrylic, hand-assembled and hand-painted. As our designs are lovingly glued, assembled and painted by hand, there can be fingerprint marks and very slight variations and blemishes from piece to piece. Due to the hand-mixed nature of the resins in our designs, it is common and normal to find tiny flecks or bubbles in the resin layers. All in all, this makes each piece special and unique as you are.
Brooch clasps are made from silver-plated steel. Due to the use of high-quality silver-plating in our brooch clasps, tarnishing and oxidisation can occur, producing black and gold discolouration. As with all silver products, you can restore it using a silver cloth.
